  The Traveling Suitcase Installation Project is a large-scale print work that folds into a suitcase and reanimates into a sculptural installation. Designed to be mutable, the shape-shifting installation takes on variable configurations, thereby allowing the piece to take a new form each time it is displayed. But the real magic happened as the piece traveled across Europe engaging with new art communities and spaces.

    Collaborating with the artist duo Collective Magpie, the Traveling Suitcase Installation Project was exhibited inside of an inflatable domed pavilion titled  Nomadic Atelier,  at Bauhaus-Universität in Weimar. This project collaboration was exhibited in tandem with the course  Performance of the Pavilion , led by Collective Magpie at Bauhaus-Universität Summer School.

     Untitled, Industrial Arm of Oakland  was inspired by the structures of developing infrastructure coupled with the detrital by-product of urbanization, including cardboard forms found in an industrial recycling bin. Expanding on the structural and sculptural potentials of paper, this piece is suspended and shaped in space through the integration of found objects. The stripped, crumbled and falling paper, punctuated by staccato rows of circular structure alludes to the precarious balance of humanity and environment.

   Daitoku  73 inches x 96 inches  Image of a large-scale work in development beside student intern Stephanie Cayer. This work is from a series of prints on Diatoku, a non-archival Japanese screen paper. The prints are created by folding the paper through the press thereby allowing me to print a large-scale work from a smaller press bed.
